Definitions Of Terms
Beginners Yoga:

The beginner classes are suitable for anyone who has not done Yoga before or for anyone who is young in practice or just desires this type of movement. Our teachers are specially trained to assist you as you begin to practice Yoga. The classes are fun, relaxing and designed with the beginner in mind.

Yin Yoga:

Yin Yoga is a term used to describe a different type of Yoga practice. Its name reflects the contrast between the typical Yoga, which can be described as very energetic and muscular (yang), and this peaceful and quiet practice. Yin Yoga uses some familiar postures (asanas), but they are held for 3—5 minutes each. These asanas put the muscles at rest, minimizing the stress of holding a pose, allowing the deeper connective tissues to relax and open up. These sessions will alternate between emphasizing the spine and the hips as these are two major problem areas for most people.

Yin Yoga is a practice of balance, and should be accompanied by a yang, or typical yoga practice as well. A regular cardiovascular or similar exercise program such as walking, bicycling, swimming and so on will provide the necessary balance of vigorous activity to go along with your new yin practice.

Come and explore the amazing benefits of creating what Paul Grilley, the foremost teacher of Yin Yoga calls “temporary and momentary vulnerability.”
Vinyasa Flow Yoga:
This style of Yoga incorporates the breath with movement. Classes are faster paced and challenging. Many different styles of Yoga are incorporated. Most often different variations of sun salutations are included.
Gentle Yoga:
Slow gentle poses that give a stretch but allow the mind and body to relax and heal. Great for people with limited mobility, physical problems or just needing to relax.
Restorative Yoga:

Restorative is similar to gentle yoga however, poses are propped with bolsters and blankets to allow the body to relax into a pose.

Restorative is good for cancer patients, cancer survivors and their families. Good for Fibromyalgia, and persons with heart problems.

Slow Vinyasa Flow Yoga:

Slow Flow is slow and relaxing, yet challenging.

Fundamentals Of Yoga:

Lots of instruction on alignment and use of props. This class is intended to help you get yoga in your body and to learn the language of yoga.

Get In Shape!:

Walk: 15 - 30 minutes
Yoga: 30 minutes
Come dressed to walk in any kind of weather and do Yoga immediately afterwards. There will be NO time to change clothes.
